The NXTAR's Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers are designed with single and dual-pump lasers that offer economical amplification for a wide range of applications. Used as an amplifier it can provide power at the transmitters and the optical power compensation site. This module is ideal for today's highly dynamic networks and cost sensitive market.

The EDFAs have many competitive features, including a compacting package 100 x 120 x 18.5 (mm3), low price and low power consumption over a wide range of operating temperature. A standard 25-pin electrical connector allows the EDFA-500M to easily setup with control units for connectivities of both electrical power and data communication.
