The ultra-compact size Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier is a small form factor module with a cooler-less pump laser that offers economical amplification for a wide range of applications. Used as an amplifier it can provide power at the transmitters and optical power compensation site. This module is ideal for today's highly dynamic networks and cost-sensitive market.

The EDFAs have many competitive features, including an ultra-compact size package (65 x 80 x 15mm), low price and low power consumption over a widely operating temperature range. A standard 10-pin electrical connector allows for easily electrical connectivity.
