Description
Nxtar Technologies, Inc. has developed a series of ASE Broadband Light Sources,
including S, C, L and C+L-bands from 1480 nm to 1610 nm with total output power from
13 dBm to 20 dBm. Different band combinations (S,C,L and C+L) with different power
levels can be provided to meet different applications. All units exhibit excellent
spectral and power stabilities. With an optical spectrum analyzer, they allow direct
spectral characterization of passive components, such as fiber bragg gratings, fiber-based
couplers, optical isolators, CWDM and DWDM devices. With modulation capability added,
each output of the channels can be switched to be on or off in dependently without
the need to turn off the unit.
